Emergency care & trauma care
Patients may pay directly for services or may be eligible for financial assistance. Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, sliding fee scale, and private pay all cover home care. Once insurance coverage is approved, the primary insurance carrier is billed directly.

Where Is the Regional Medical Center Located?
Established in 1997, the Regional Medical Center’s Home Care program serves Orangeburg, Calhoun and Bamberg counties and offers a wide range of in-home services to individuals and their families. Being at home helps you feel better about yourself and gives you and your family a more direct role in your care. Our Home Care team understands how important this is in your recovery process. RMC Home Care provides free aids and services to people with disabilities to communicate effectively with us, such as qualified sign language interpreters and written information in other formats. Linton Regional Medical Center has been designated as a Top 100 Critical Access Hospital in the nation by the National Rural Health Association for five consecutive years – 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022.
Regional Medical Center serves as one of the largest medical and surgical teaching sites for the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. More than half the doctors in Tennessee receive all or some of their training at Regional Medical Center through its affiliation with the University of Tennessee Health Science Center.

Your services will be reviewed at this time to determine if you are happy with the performance of the aide and/or if updates are needed to the service contract. We know your time is valuable, so we offer convenient online preregistration for services such as surgical procedures, mammograms and diagnostic tests and treatments. The UM Charles Regional Peer Recovery Coach Program places trained recovery coaches – who are themselves recovered from substance use disorders – with people who need help getting on a path to sobriety from alcohol or drug use. The CareFirst grant allows the hospital to cover costs for salary training and of peer recovery coaches who take shifts in the Emergency Department to help patients that need their support and assistance. The new grant funds will allow the broader coverage by adding an evening shift mental health social worker to their team.
Private duty service allows individuals, who need personal care assistance to stay in the comfort and security of their own homes. This provides peace of mind knowing your caregiver is certified, supervised by a registered nurse and employed by the agency. You do not need to meet any insurance or Medicare/Medicaid requirements.
